The Divi Southwinds Resort Visit Their Website 'The Divi' is the official headquarters of 'Open Mic Barbados.'  All special events that happen outside of the venues will take place at The Divi. We stayed at The Divi on our 'scouting trip' to the Island last November.  It is truly a 'luxury hotel.'  It's pool and sports activities center are 'world class.'  They've got two-tennis courts and a beautiful restaurant adjacent to the pool. A short walk away is The Divi's beach bar.  This open-air pavilion is right at the beach.  We'll have a stage setup there for an all-day open mic during your stay. This is a great place to eat breakfast and lunch while watching the sun dance across the blue water.   The rooms are beautifully appointed and spacious. The Rostrevor Visit Their Website Located about one-block from The Divi, The Rostrevor offers a smaller, more intimate feeling.  This family-operated property has many rooms that look out over the ocean.  Their studios offer a comfortable option for the 'budget-minded' open micer! Rostrevor Apartment Hotel is situated on the south coast of the island.   Each apartment is fully equipped with kitchen facilities and a ceiling fan in each bedroom.  There is beach on the property, a pool, a pool bar, a restaurant and we are within easy walking distance to Banks, shops and other Hotels.  Free wireless internet access in all rooms. Open Mic Performing We're going to take over the stage at multiple venues in St. Lawrence Gap, just across the street from your hotel.  We'll have a PA, mics, stands and cables setup at each venue. Just bring your instrument of choice and plug-in.  You can signup for a performance slot each day at the Divi Southwinds beach bar.  You are guaranteed a slot at one-open mic each night.  The open mics start at 9 each night and go until you run out of gas! These venues are the places where the tourists and the locals congregate.  There's always a good number of people at each venue.  You'll be rockin' with your friends and with new friends that you'll meet.
